The Creole Food Festival

The Creole Food Festival is a celebration of cultural foods, showcasing authentic dishes from the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, and the Southern region of the United States.

Co-founder Fabrice J. Armand created a space where you can sample foods from award-winning black and brown chefs and mingle with other foodies and vendors who are passionate about their craft. The festival also features specialty cocktails, musical performances, and a live DJ playing the soundtrack for a great afternoon. The vendors are welcoming and eager to share their culture, making the experience not just about the food, but also about connecting with the people.

One of the highlights of the festival was sampling Dominican food made by Chef Yala. Her steak fajitas and stewed codfish were both super flavorful and left patrons wanting more. Visit the Bronx, NY and you can find more delicious dishes at her restaurant, La Cocina de Yala. Another amazing vendor was the creative appetizers made by Chef Whitney Thomas, who fused together southern and Latin flavors.

Can't make it to New York? The festival is making several stops throughout the East Coast including Washington D.C., Miami, and Atlanta. You will leave with a full stomach, a happy heart, and a deeper appreciation for the traditions and flavors of the diaspora.
