How To Spend a Weekend in Oceanside

Located a little more than an hour from San Diego, you will find the perfect place to recharge and unwind. The area is called Oceanside and this beach town is a laid back destination for relaxation and chill vibes. Book a room at the Mission Pacific Hotel. The boutique hotel is within walking distance to the beach. Inside you'll find comfortable rooms, tranquil views from your balcony, and a complimentary thermos to stay hydrated during your stay.

Once you settle in, head upstairs to The Rooftop Bar. Here you can listen to tunes from a live DJ, order some appetizers such as the Tiger Prawns or the King Oyster Mushroom Skewers, and sip on your favorite cocktail, while taking in views of the ocean. Ever tried a strawberry daiquiri on the rocks? The bartender created a rendition of this drink using fresh muddled strawberries and lime. Truly one of the best cocktails we've ever had!

The next morning enjoy a breakfast buffet at the Piper Oceanside Restaurant. This sleek indoor-outdoor eatery offers you a relaxed ambiance. They have a breakfast buffet that includes everything from a fried chicken & waffle bar to house cured smoked salmon. Grab a table on the patio and people watch over your scrambled eggs.

Spend the afternoon lounging at hotel pool or head over to the fishing pier on the beach. If you stroll down the beach boardwalk you will run into High Pie, located in the famous Top Gun House (yeah from the movie). They have some sweet treats like their homemade hand pies; which comes in three delicious flavors: apple, cherry, or blueberry.

Cap off your evening at Harney Oceanside & Lounge. Find everything from sushi to steak fried rice on the menu. They have all-day specials on Thursdays and also a live DJ on select nights.
