Hey, It’s National Oysters Day!
In honor of National Oyster Day, here are a few of our favorite spots to enjoy the shelled jewels of the ocean. Eat them raw, grilled, or in a seafood dish, either way... oysters are a real treat (and allegedly an aphrodisiac too).
Looking for intimate date spot? Or just somewhere with nice ambiance to hang out with friends? If the answer is yes, make your way to Williamsburg and visit Maison Premiere. This restaurant has an impressive oyster list and unique cocktails made with absinthe and sazerac. You won't be disappointed.
Whether you're in Manhattan or Brooklyn, you can find this Black-owned business making a name for themselves in the seafood industry. The Real Mothershuckers are shelling out fresh East & West Coast Oysters with unique garnishes such as Classic, Candy Apple, or Sushi (wasabi, ponzu sauce, seaweed & cucumber). Oh, and they even have Oyster Chowder.
Willing to travel? Head down to New Orleans and go straight to Drago's Seafood Restaurant. There famous charbroiled oysters are a must-have! They even sell there Charbroiled Oyster Kit so you can make them at home.
